Georgie
I adopted her from Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas when she was a year old. The family who originally had her lived in a rental house and the owners of the house did not want them to have a big dog. They had kept her outside all of the time. The rescue group fostered her for about a month before I got her. They told me that she was housebroken but the first night I had her she squatted right in front of me in my bedroom and pee'd! However, she learned very quickly and she is the best dog! The rescue group renamed her Georgie -- they didn't like her original name, which I never knew. So Georgie didn't even know her name when I got her. She is now 7 and loves the dog park because she can run and chase the ball and then swim and stay cool.
