Everyone who has lost a pet knows the emptiness that follows, along with the reluctance to try to fill the void right away. After we lost our rescued tri-color Pembroke Welsh Corgi, KC, we waited almost a year before looking for another Corgi. I had hoped to adopt a sable and white one, this time. However, the PWCC of NJ had just one available...........a female, and she was a tri-color. We fell in love with Mollie as soon as we met her on Valentine's Day, and adopted her a week later..........or, should I say, she adopted us!
It has been five years, now, and Mollie Valentine goes everywhere with us, including four trips to Amelia Island. This past winter, we joined the NHS Dog Park, where both Mollie and her "parents" met some wonderful dogs and their delightful owners. We hope to return next February to renew these friendships.
